Hello.

Each QuickOPC version has an associated list of supported .NET runtimes. It's in the documentation for that version, plus here:  kb.opclabs.com/QuickOPC_Versions .
From there, it can be seen that QuickOPC 2020.2 (5.58) has supported .NET Framework 4.8.

Older versions of QuickOPC were using assembly referencing. Newer versions (starting with QuickOPC 5.40) are referencing NuGet packages.

If you were using direct assembly references for QuickOPC 2020.2 (5.58), even with .NET Framework 4.7.x, you were already doing it wrong. You have to reference the QuickOPC NuGet package(s).

If you have a valid license license for that version, it will work.

This said, I would recommend to upgrade to newest version anyway, your version is 6 years old. We do not make bug fixes to older versions, and do not officially support them. Plus there are new feature in newer versions too.

I hope this helps
Best regards

Hi After updating to the .net framework 4.8 our library is not working anymore.

our are references :

opclabs.baselib 5.58.151.1
opclabs.easyopcclassic 5.58.151.1

the error :

Could not load file or assembly 'App_Web_OpcLabs.EasyOpcClassicRaw.x86, Version=5.58.151.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6faddca41dacb409' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. + It is possible that Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package is not installed.

What should I do? If I remove opc references and install quickopc from nuget package will I need to buy another licence? I have an old one from 2020.

thanks for your precious help,

Math
